Ways our Community Gives Back

About

"It takes a Village!"

This is a great caption to summarize exactly what goes into preparing for each season.  Our schools are the forferont of our collection efforts.  The participation of the children helps mold our community in so many ways.

Hide and Seek

Moses Y Beach Cereal Drive - 2024

The elementary students at Moses Y Beach Elementary School collected 687 Boxes of cereal to donate to our Wallingford families facing hardship.  They took their collection to an entirely new level and created a domino effect with all the boxes.  It was a fun filled event that all the students were able to participate in and watch.  Thank you to principal Mr. Arciero and the entire staff at MYB for this fun filled event!

Pond Hill Elementary School Challenge - 2024

Principal Dirkson challenged students from grades 3-5 with a friendly grade competition.  Winner received extra recess and a pajama day.  He also told students if they reached their goal of 3,000 items he would allow them to "Stick" him to a wall for the day.

4th Grade won the challenge and all the students were able to assist in taping Mr. Dirkson to the wall since 3,003 items were collected!

K Club Kids at Parker Farms Elementary School

The K Club kids from Parker Farms Elementary school led by our friend Ms. French.  These kids are the ones you see outside the Wallingford Walmart for our toy drive each year.  Make sure to stop by and say hello and give a gift if you can!

Sheehan & Lyman Hall Football Teams

Without the strength of these guys, our giveaway days would not be possible.  They may be rivals on the field, but off the field they come together to support our community.
